Finland - with archipelagos and lakes

Finns love cycling, it's an essential part of their daily routine. Cycling is not only fun, it's also a sustainable way to enjoy the countryside.

Cycling along scenic archipelago trails

The Archipelago Trail is a route that allows visitors to access the waterways of the archipelago without having to bring their own boats.20 The trail has been a favorite of bicyclists for many years, attracting bike riders from all over the world.

With multiple ferries and bridges to reach the end of the route, this is a unique archipelago itinerary. Restaurants, lodging, and farm stores abound along the way, and the ocean is not far away. The trail can be accessed by car, bus, bicycle or on foot, and can be traveled from mid-May to early September each year. The 250-kilometer journey requires at least eight ferry rides.
